It is the mission of the Alumni & Friends Club to provide a meaningful opportunity for Boys & Girls Club of Jefferson County alumni and friends to join together and serve as goodwill ambassadors in the community while assisting the Club with vital funding, cultivation, engagement, and volunteer activities.
Honoring the Past...
Since the organization’s inception in 1954, thousands of lives have been positively enhanced at Lide White Memorial Unit of Boys & Girls Club of Jefferson County. Establishing the Alumni & Friends Club gives a familiar home for those who have been a part of the Club’s movement over the past 70+ years. A unique aspect to the Alumni & Friends Club is that it is open to all affiliations within the Club – meaning Volunteers, Board Members, Staff and former Club Members/Parents are all welcomed to join the Alumni & Friends Club!

...Passing the Torch
Joining the Alumni & Friends Club means you have a vested interest to ensure the sustainable future of the Club. It is the responsibility of Alumni & Friends Club members to symbolically “Pass the Torch” to the next generation of Club enthusiasts by giving back – not just financially, but by serving as a role model for current Club members. No matter your profession today, we are all connected to the Club in some fashion or another. Joining the Alumni & Friends Club and passing the torch is the true measure of giving back to something greater than yourself.
It is the vision of the Alumni & Friends Club to REMEMBER the Club's beginnings by honoring its enduring legacy; to RECONNECT with former members/parents, staff, and volunteers; and to RE-ENGAGE with the Club to ensure its viable future.
