Membership & Registration

How do I sign my child up?

Simply visit the Parent Portal, accessible from our registration page. For help, contact the Club.

What is the cost for membership?

Club membership is $60 per month and gives youth access to a safe, supportive environment filled with programs, activities, mentorship, and opportunities to grow.

How old does my child have to be?

The BGCJC accepts members ages 5 (must be in Kindergarten) through 17 years old.

Does my child have to be a member to participate in sports?

No. Children do not have to be Club members to participate in sports programs, but Club members do receive a discounted registration rate.

Payments & Financial Aid

What do School Year Full Days cost?

School Year Full Days cost $10 per member, per day.

Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes, we have a limited amount of financial assistance available. Please contact the Club to learn more.

What is your refund policy?

As a nonprofit organization, fees are used to support programming and keep services affordable. Fees paid are not refunded or transferred.

Programs & Attendance

Is daily attendance required?

No, but we highly recommend members attend at least 3 days per week to build consistency and get the most out of programming.

Do you provide meals/snacks?

Yes. During after-school programming, we offer a snack. On full days and during summer programming, breakfast, lunch, and a snack are provided.

What programs do you offer?

We offer after-school care, full-day care during school breaks, summer programming, athletics, and more. To see a full list of programs and activities we offer throughout the year, visit our Programs page!

Do you provide morning programs?

No. During the school year, we are only open for after-school programming unless school is on a scheduled break or closure.

Transportation

Do you provide transportation?

For most schools in the county, there's a bus that drops members off at the Club. This includes Rykers Ridge, Anderson, Lydia Middleton, Madison Jr. High/ High School, and Southwestern Schools.

Is there a bus for summer school?

If your child is attending summer school, you will need to talk with the school about busing options.

Do you open for two-hour delays?

We will offer after-school care on days with two-hour delays. However, we will not open in the morning or provide transportation.

Hours & School Breaks

What are the Club hours?

After School Care: Monday-Friday 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Full Days: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Are you open during school breaks?

Yes, we are open during Madison school breaks, eLearning/virtual learning days, and weather closures, as long as Jefferson County is not under a Red Travel Advisory. The Club will only be closed during scheduled holidays or announced Club closures.

When is the Club closed?

We are closed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We are also closed the week before and the week after our summer program for preparation purposes. These closure dates may be adjusted if a holiday falls on a weekend and may be observed on the Friday before or Monday after.
