Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign my child(ren) up?
Simply visit the Parent Portal, accessible from our registration page. If you need assistance, feel free to contact our Membership Coordinator by calling the Club or emailing him at astoner@bgcjeffersonco.org.
What is the cost for a membership?
The cost is $24 a year, but thanks to SuperATV, the membership fee is waived through the 2025-26 school year. It will come at no cost to you.
How old does my child have to be to enroll?
The BGCJC accepts members ages 5 to 18.
Do you have to maintain a certain income level? 
No.
Do you have any openings to accept a new member?
We don't have a set limit on the number of members we can serve. There's always room for you!
Is daily attendance required? 
No, we are a drop in facility and do not require daily attendance, but highly recommend your child come at least three days per week in order to provide consistency and maximize the positive impacts of programming.
Do you provide meals/snacks? 
Yes, during the after-school program, we offer a free snack. For School Year Full Days and the Summer Program, we provide breakfast, lunch, and a snack. Plus, we have a concessions stand where kids can buy snacks with their own money.
Do you provide transportation?
For most schools in the county, there's a bus that drops members off at the Club. This includes Ryker Ridge, Anderson, Lydia Middleton, Madison Jr. High/High School, Southwestern Schools, and Canaan Community Academy. During the summer, you'll need to provide drop-off and pick-up arrangements. If you have a member in summer school, you will need to talk to the school about bussing options. 
What are the Club hours?
After School Care: Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm
Full Day Hour: 7am - 5:30pm on select days
Office Hours: Monday-Friday 10am-6pm
Does my child(ren) have to have a membership to participate in the sports programs?
Yes, everyone joining our programs needs a membership. But don't worry, getting registered is simple, and thanks to SuperATV, it won't cost you anything extra.
How can I enroll my child in the sports program if they're below the minimum age requirement?
Since some of our sports programs cater to 3 and 4-year-olds, you'll need to register for the PK Sports Only Membership instead.
Are you open during school breaks?
We're open during school breaks, eLearning/Virtual Learning days, and snow days. Our School Year Full Day care follows the Madison Consolidated Schools calendar.
What do School Year Full Days cost?
School Year Full Day care costs $10 per member per day, with payment due at drop-off.
When is the Club closed?
The Club will be closed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Additionally, we'll be closed the week before and the week after our Summer Program for training and preparation. Please note that some days are subject to change.
Do you offer morning care?
No.
What is your refund policy?
As a non-profit organization, we pride ourselves in providing vital services at a nominal fee to our families. This can happen thanks to the generosity of our community and partners. Once a program has started, those funds have already been allocated to scheduled staff and program materials. For this reason, it is our policy to not provide refunds. Fees paid and not used will instead be credited to your account.
Do you open for two-hour delays?
We will offer after-school care on days with two-hour delays. However, we will not open in the morning, nor provide transportation to schools on those days.
